Retreat for the Day

I'm at the office right now, trying to get caught up on a some top-priority items. The piles all over my desk are getting higher and higher every day. I don't get paid when I'm here on a weekend, but at least I can get rid of some of the more urgent items.

When I leave in a couple of hours though, Kitty and I are going to head up to the cottage. He's not digging the little room we are currently sharing and we both could use a day off. No running water yet, and it will be cold (it's raining here this weekend)... but it will be quiet and comfortable with the fire.

I have a lot of reading to do to keep myself on track for my goals. It's very exciting to think of all the possibilities that lay ahead.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, where ever you are.

Learning Curves

It's interesting to me, that I should take on so many different challenges at one time. Making changes at work, in my personal life and of course, getting started in my new career as a Virtual Assistant.

This weekend I am going to work on my 'web page'.

I am definitely intimidated by the idea of trying to learn html codes, but if there is one thing I have decided, it is that I am going to accomplish the unexpected. I know most people don't think I will do this... which in a great way, only motivates me more. Admittedly, it really helps to have a friend who is taking on the same challenges. She and I will keep each other motivated.

As for html codes, bring it on... I will succeed!

Time to get some sleep, much more to learn tomorrow. Have a super sleep everyone, I plan to.

Getting Started...

Today is the first day... of the rest of MY life. We have all heard it before, however this really is!

Yesterday I sat down with two good friends and made a committment... I am going to make some fantastic changes in my life, and I am extremely excited. This weekend I am committed to writing a business plan, finding the tools I need to start and to reading hours and hours of information which will help me get started in this new 'career'.

Life is great :-)
